In order to obtain the official ECDL Certification, Candidates need to sit for the official ECDL Tests.

All Candidates need to purchase an ECDL Skills Card. The Skills Card records a Candidate’s progress through the seven Tests that form the ECDL certification.

Once all seven Tests have been completed, the Skills Card is returned to the ECDL Foundation in order to receive the final ECDL certification.

As each Module is passed, we will endorse the Skills Card confirming that the Module has been successfully completed and tested. When all Modules have been successfully completed, the Skills Card is forwarded to the ECDL Foundation and an ECDL certificate issued.

At MICS, we usually hold a number of official ECDL exam sessions each month.

Exam sessions are two hour blocks during which students may sit for 1 or two exams of their choice.

MICS uses a fully automated ECDL testing system.

Two types of tests:

Certification Tests for the ECDL qualification

Diagnostic Tests, wich can be used as pre-training assessements or simply as a mock/practice tests for ECDL

The Diagnostic tests contain 75 questions and when the results are given the candidates recieve feedback on the subject areas and questions that have been incorrectly answered. As these do not have to be taken under examination conditions they can even been taken in the candidates home.

ECDL Skills Card: € 35

ECDL Module exams: €10 per module

ECDL Skills Card + 7 Module exams: € 90
(exams to be taken within a period of 3 years)

ECDL online diagnostic tests: EUR 5 per module

7 x ECDL online diagnostic tests: EUR 25
